After helping my girlfriend move into a different home I realized the benefits of my consistent training. Find out the different ways a good fitness base helped me get through it all. On top of the long hard days of moving we didn't have a kitchen for while. That meant a lot of takeout and eating on the run. I didn't realize it at the time but I just incorporated intuitive eating and got through it without putting on weight. Of course all the physical activity with the move helped but that's what Move My Mass is all about, keeping it balanced.

Scott Daniel is back for a Motivating Our Mass episode. He came down for a morning gravel ride then we sat down and got caught up. He fills me in on how Mason Daniel Racing is going since the crew change. It was a crazy week for him figuring out where the race team shop will be and even had to go for a few runs and do burpees on the side of the road in order to get his workouts in. I have our Mexico grape season quickly approaching and it's exciting to talk about how the Razzle Dazzle grape program is shaping up down there.

It was so interesting hearing what it's like running a dance studio and what motivated her to go from being a San Diego Charger cheerleader to opening her own dance studio. Kyli is full of energy and you can definitely tell that by her enthusiasm to teach young dancers. There are more benefits to dance than I even realized such as memory improvement. This episode has something for everyone.

Leigh taught me so much on this episode. So many of us think of nutrition as calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat but there is so much more to it. What is the difference between being allergic to a food vs being reactive to it? What does it mean to be a slow oxidizer or a fast one? We get deep with functional diagnostic nutrition. On top of that, she owns FitZone Bakersfield and teaches a number of classes per week including Gravity and spin classes. Leigh lets me know how she stays motivated on days that might be a little tough to get ramped up for. She is so knowledgeable with nutrition and fitness it could have been a three hour episode. I can't wait to have her back on!
